Pennsylvania

We took Mykhaila on her first visit to Pennsylvania last week. It was a quick, but very pleasant visit. Mykhaila enjoyed herself so much that she wants to move there (and I had family members that thought it would be too dull for her since she has lived in some big cities)!!

We stayed with my best friends, Justin and Chris Vavro (former Minto) and their 2 very playful boys, Skylar and Sage. All of their family visited with us and oogled over Mykhaila.

We played the washer game; which is similar to horeshoes, the waterslide was out, fireworks galore, tons of food, and shared wonderful memories.

Oh! And there was the 4 month old pet raccoon, Bumberdoo, and a corn snake to enjoy! A Minto/Vavro party is never complete without some new animal. We all had a blast with the raccoon. He was so funny to watch in the kiddy pool, cleaning his grapes, and jumping after the shiny pennies that were being tossed in.

And yes, he has all of his shots and is as healthy as can be. And, no, they are not keeping him. He was rescued at 2 days old and nursed to health. He will be going to a farm with lots of land where he can be wild as he should be. He will be missed though that is for sure!

The best part was getting to visit Stevie, Kimberly, and the kids! It has been too long since we saw them last and it really makes us wish that all of us siblings and our families lived closer together.

They opened their home to us and provided us with love, a great lunch, thought provoking conversation, and the guys got to play some music as well.

Liam was having such a good time with Mykhaila that he did not want to leave to attend a prior obligation that he had. He said to Kimberly " What is more important, seeing my family that I never get to,or..."

We had to turn as not to show our smirks.
What a clever boy!

He did not win that battle though, as he is being taught very commendably, that when people are depending on you and you have given your word, you must stick by it.

We were all glad to meet the Soley addition of Ava Eleanor. God, thank you for her! What a blessing to have her enjoyed so much by her big brothers. She is like a china doll. All of her features are just so tiny and perfect. I could have eaten her up.

It was a special visit that did not last nearly long enough!

Thank you Stevie and Kimberly for having us!!!!!!

I think I agree with Mykhaila. Pennsylvania is pretty awesome indeed.
